It is certainly more expensive than using a cheap all-in-one modem, router and wifi access point, but worth it in my opinion. The Ubiquiti's are nice routers, and they have most of the features you'd want baked in, no work required. But, don't let anyone talk you out of building your own router. It's much more productive time spent than watching Netflix.
